Linda Boileau created her first political cartoon in 1984 for Frankfort’s State Journal, and she has been creating them ever since.  She was born in Frankfort and has lived there all her life.  About her work she says, “The wonderful thing about cartooning is that you have the opportunity to make someone think.  Even if they disagree, you’ve opened up their minds to issues.  Cartoons push buttons people don’t even know they have. . . . I try to cut wording because the best cartoons have the least amount of words—sometimes no words at all.  Telling the truth in pictures should be point-blank.”
