Rep. Kidd:  One of the things that I said to the people, is that Louisville has poor housing.  And I talked to a friend of mine about housing.  The more I talked to him about housing, the more I thought we ought to do something about it.  I would tell the people, I said “look at our neighborhoods, I’m gonna try to do all I can to help keep the neighborhood nice. . .“ 

Hall:  This is housing for mainly low-income people?

Rep. Kidd:  Right.  The newspapers spoke of me as a freshman, they said, “She introduced the low-cost housing bill,” which is now the Kentucky Housing Corporation.
