Interviewer:  Were you old enough to vote at that time?

Ms. Pennington:  Oh yes.

Interviewer:  How old are you now?

Ms. Pennington P:  I’m 82.  I was 16 when I was married . . .

Interviewer:  What did he think about your activity with the women getting the right to vote?

Ms. Pennington:  Oh I though they should, I said the men had run it long enough, I thought the women had a right to vote.  And some women was very much against it.  And I said I believed that women would . . . always was against whiskey . . . [I] hated that my husband was a stiller and made whiskey.
